Question Of The Week for BASTION -Prequel to War

What is a Bastion?

A free floating city-structure created by the Aurantevanian empire. They stay floating in the sky based off of a unique power system that no one in this day and age knows how to construct or run. It is not known who is responsible for the creation of Bastions or when or how they came to be. It is also a mystery how an entire city can exist suspended in mid-air without needing to trade for basic necessities such as food or water. Perhaps they had reserved clean water supplies or farmland that the Bastion population had maintained for sustenance. While they tried to balance the social and economic standings of the people living on said cities it is unsure how exactly politics and trade worked on these Bastions. While this is said to be the pinnacle of magical development, by those few who do know of the Bastions' lore, even if the fact Bastions existed was publicly known, the current nations of Serrah are nowhere near advanced enough to adapt Aurantevanian technology to their cities.
